I know it’s hard sometimes to actually find time to reach our goals. I for one, find that I’m constantly chasing after things that I seem to never get closer to. We all have goals, and a way planned to get there, but sometimes it all takes longer than we want, or we sometimes get so tired that we feel like we are just going to give up. Honestly though, sometimes as much as you try, you end up sitting on your couch binge watching Netflix and thinking about how tomorrow you are going to do just a little bit more. That is why I created this list of 6 things to do everyday so that you can get even a little bit closer to be able to reach your goals.
1. Designate time to your goals!
Everyday I go to bed and think about how tomorrow I am going to be better than today. But, we can’t dwell on what we could have done, and what we should have done, we can only move forward, and reevaluate. If you carve out time in your busy schedule and decide what you are actually going to do during it, you will be so much more productive, and you will end up less likely to burn out. When you actually want to reach your goals, you need to plan ahead so you can do so. Every night, I plan out what my next day is going to look like and what I need to accomplish. This year, I’ve decided to focus my priorities away from some things to push others. So excited for 2018!!
2. Be Healthy!
If you’re body runs off a mixture of caffeine and lack of sleep (like me), you might end up being hard pressed to accomplish your goals. I am a learning this lesson the hard way, as my brain seemingly crashes into oblivion. So for 2018, I am committing myself to eating better, working out more, and getting at least 6 hours of sleep a night (the last is going to be the hardest). Having a healthy lifestyle and a crazy productive morning routine is super important.
3. Find a way to stay motivated!
Whatever you do, and whatever your goals actually are. You need to find a way to keep yourself motivated. Whether that is buying a new pair of shoes for reaching 10 000 page views a month, or going on a weekend away for getting another 1000 followers, you need to find some way to keep yourself going forward. This is especially true when you fail. You need a reason to keep pushing forward. Every single day, find a way to keep yourself motivated!
4. Make a morning routine you love!
Mornings. Love them or hate them, everyday you have to get out of bed and go about your day. Making a morning routine, is all about figuring out a way to get things done before you go to your 9-5. For some, you might get a workout and a blog post in, and for others it might be a time to drink coffee and browse Pinterest. Whatever you decide, wake up a little earlier every week so you don’t have to rush out the door with a donut in your mouth and your hair in a bun.
5. Don’t be afraid to fail!
The hardest thing to do when you start to create goals, is facing your fear of failure head on! You need to be prepared to fall flat on your face in front of everyone and to brush yourself off and get back at it. When you want to reach your goals, you have to be prepared for everything and whatever that means. The path to success is hard and trying, so keep going. You got this!
6. Be Proud of Yourself Every Step of the Way!
Whether it is a tiny success or a huge #win, be proud of yourself! Be proud of everything and celebrate it! Every single day wake up and be proud of what you did the day before and every night pat yourself on the back for what you did that day.
