Hey I’m Bradlyn Oakes. Welcome to the portfolio part of my website.
I am a scientist as well as a journalist, broadcaster and producer. I have a unique understanding and expertise when it comes to climate change, the climate crisis and environmental science.
For the last three years, I have worked as a broadcast meteorologist, anchor and multi-media journalist covering weather and climate news through radio, television, digital and social media. Additionally, over the last six years, I have been a communications and media producer and manager, often managing upward of 10 projects at a time which has cemented my ability to set priorities, plan and meet deadlines under sometimes challenging circumstances.
I am an expert at breaking down and communicating complex scientific issues. I will be able to pitch and produce both original news angles and in-depth stories about climate change and am passionate about responding to major climate news developments in Canada and internationally.
Get in touch if you want to work together!
